Anis’s story: Fleeing with a newborn while dealing with diabetes

The refugee camp situated on the outskirts of the Greek capital, Schisto, has been Anis Al-Bahash and his family’s home since they arrived as refugees from war-torn Syria, to seek asylum in Europe. Anis carries an additional burden, as he was diagnosed with diabetes on his journey and had to learn how to manage his disease during his journey to Greece, during which he encountered a number of challenges. Now in Greece, he is finally getting his insulin in a pen which makes his treatment simpler and safer.
